Question about 2005 Nissan Frontier

1 Answer

2005 Nissan Frontier 4.0 2x2. Sounds like a clutch issue. Makes a high pitch sound. When the clutch is in it seems to stop until let out. When driven for a period of time, it stops. Thank you.

Any how if your sure it in the gearbox it will have to come out one of two things its the thrust bearing which makes contact with the fingers of the pressure plate or its a noisey or unlubricated spigot bearing which is located in the crank of the engine or in the flywheel assembly not expensive parts but you cant get to them easy with the gearbox in sorry mate. DO THEM BOTH IF YOU CAN good luck

Temperature gauge in nissan frontier goes from medium to low randomly, also off and on roaring sound coming from what seems to be the fan while running.

This is an indication of air or gas bubbles in the cooling system, it can be that the system is low on coolant due to a leak (have a cooling system pressure test performed) or that you have a leaking engine cylinder head gasket. I would also replace the thermostat just to rule it out as a cause, it could be sticking and causing the rapid swings in engine temperature.

I have a 2003 nissan pathfinder and it makes a very high pitched noise constantly

If you put that description into your search engine,I believe you find a lot about your vehicle, you may not want to know.
I was thinking about a low milage 2008 or 2009 frontier,so I have been checking

I believe you have timing chain issues

2005 on, are 2nd Generation, and have that,so maybe your smaller engine, does as well

My 2005 nissan frontier overheats while sitting still what is wrong with it?

Sounds like coolant isn't circulating. While moving engine making pump circulate coolant and fresh air hitting front of radiator. At idle or a stop, engine not making pump run as fast and there is no fresh air hiiting radiator ( especially if fan isn't working properly) Check out water pump and cooling fan.
