Make sure the system has correct charge of freon and that the cooling fans for the a/c run when it is turned on. It is building excessive pressure and blowing off. Could also be a restriction in the system. If any type of a/c stop leak was added it can plug up the drier receiver or expansion valve tube or other areas.
I would check the actuator motor under the dash in the center to make sure the motor is getting power or it may have gone bad if you are not getting air in the direction you want.
Does the compressor run ? If yes, you would need to know what the high and low pressure readings are to proceed. It could be a blend door problem under the dash, or something else.
The speed controller on the dash must have one off the selectors faulty. so use a meter to checck the input voltage which is coming in and then the selector switching voltage to the motor coil winding. If voltage ispresent in the switched output then the motor winding can be faulty.
So check under th dash and trry to see if you can test without removing the whole unit.Use a good light to probe , use a multimeter in DC range.
there is no safety, but the system must be evacuated before you replace the freon. evacuation boils the moisture out of the system and leaves a vacuum, there must be only freon in the system. NO AIR. if you nned more help get back to me and we'll go from there. Please rate my fix as i strive to be the best. Thanks Ray
if its set up for trailers with brakes, it should have small black box under the dash above the pedals; if there is one you can adjust the brake timing to syncronize the trailers brakes with the trucks; if there is not one you can purchase one and mount it and run a few wires
Number one you didn't get Freon in your charge. So if you paid for Freon which is super expensive you got ripped off. It takes r134. And just cause you. Charged the system did you have the system tested. If not tested by a good hvac shop you may have clogged filters or other issues including your bad controls. Also it may have leaked out again if there is a leak
You will have to have the dealer reset the security light to restart vehicle.Check all engine and chassie grounds because this is where the lighting would exit the vehicle. It sounds like a ground burnt through.
It is most likely the evaporator leaking. You'll need to remove the dash panel assembly and the heater housing to gain access. I have replace many Chrysler evaporators in trucks, minivans, and Jeeps to name a few. I hope this helps.
