Sounds like its hydrolocked. remove the spark plugs and see if it will turn over. if it does replace the plugs and change the oil

Well the code is telling what you already know, that the sensor is sending data that is too high. You would need to hook up a fuel pressure gauge and check the accuracy of the sensor.

If you turn the ignition switch to START and hear a relay click but do not hear the starter run, chances are the starter has failed. I have had that experience with a Ford

2005 Ford Freestar. Started car, pulled out backwards turning 90 degrees for about 30 feet at end of driveway, shifted into drive, drove 100 feet to the street end of driveway, stopped, looked both ways,...

These are common for stripping the splines in the torque converter for the pump shaft. If it did this when you check the fluid with the engine running it will read overfull. To fix it you would have to remove the transmission and replace the torque converter.

Have a 2004 Ford Freestar 4.2l with 75k miles. About a month ago the engine started missing. Engine light was blinking. Took it to local shop and problem of course stopped before they could diagnose it....

Both Autozone and Oreillys will scan your van without charge. A blinking light usually means an intermittent problem and may be picked up on a scanner this time. The local shop did right by checking the wires and plugs.

What they did was to check the spark side of the problem. You may have a problem with a fuel injector or its wire which also causes a miss. Nothing is easy to work on anymore. If this is your only vehicle it makes it hard to do something.

If the next scan does not help you about all you can do is catch it missing, shut it off, and pull the plugs. You can tell if a plug is not firing by looking at it. Or you can mist the engine with a water spray bottle , keep it dark, and start the engine and look for sparks jumping.

My 1996 ford bronco wont start. My wife drove home from work parked over the weekend and was going to work on monday and it wont start it turns over fine and its getting spark but idont hear the fuel pump....

i would start simple on this and check the fuel pump relay first. there not that expensive you can try to replace if you cant find specs to test it. if that does not work then i would say its your fuel pump that went out.

My ford freestar 2004 wont start it is nit getting fuel changed the fuel pump and still fuel wont go thru

Change the fuel filter and check two items.
1. Check to see if your fuel pump relay is good, you can do this by swapping say the a/c relay for it and the fuel pump for the a/c. If ac doesn't work but the van will run then you need to replace the relay.
2. in the event of a crash, you have what is called a emergency fuel cut-off switch which is usually located in the kick panel on the drivers side. Make sure it hasn't been tripped or better yet gone bad.
