Engine warning logo is lit up on dash but engine runs fine and all gauges are good. Doesn't appear to be any problem. Why would it stay on. I have a 2500 HD Chevrolet Pickup - 6.0 litre engine - gas

It's on because your computer is registering a trouble code from one or more of your sensors. These codes can warn you of problems before there is any real damage or of problems that may be costing you gas mileage, ect... Your dealer can check these for you but it'll cost you at least $50, you can get an inexpensive code reader at most auto parts stores or department stores with an auto department for about the same price. You can then check the codes online to determine what to do.

The fact the light is on indicates a code stored in your obd2 diagnostics. If it was flashing that is very bad it means you have a very bad emmision problem. Go to any autozone or advance autoparts they will plug in their scan tool free of charge & tell you what codes are stored then let us know what they are.

Hi this might be due to the o2 sensor this is located on the manifold or, around that area on the exhaust manifold, if this goes wrong it will throw an error code on the ecu, but all it does is monitor the fuel air mixture burnt process coming from the engine through the exhaust and adjusts the fuel air if required, so really the only thing you will eventually notice is high fuel usage....hope this helps

Low pressure/check Gauges warning after engine rebuild

Have engine oil pressure checked with mechnical pressure gauge (non electrical type) , run til engine reaches operating temperature and compare to manufacture specifications. Also check for proper idle speed. Then you will know for sure. Any possible wiring damage on install could also be the problem.

Car will not start when ignition key is turned. All warning lamps light up, enginee doesn't even try to start even with the clutch depressed

1. So the car was running normally and then on one occasion you put in the key to start it and all the warning lights flash up on the dash and the starter motor will not turn the engine over. Is that correct.

2. When you last drove the car were any warning lights appearing on the dash.such as check engine warning, engine overheating, electrical charging warnings etc.\

3. Has any work been carried out on the car recently.

4. How old is the battery in the car.

Key gauge lights up and stays lit while other gauge lights go off/on intermittently. Jeep seemingly runs fine, power windows work, radio works. What to do!

If it is a warning light shaped like a door key, it could be the warning light for the security system. Its telling you there is a problem with the chip in your key or the sensor in the lock cylinder.
Your owner's manual should show all of the warning lights and what they mean.

Yes it may be the wires are shorting or its actually the problem with instrument cluster.
Also get the vehicle scanned for any error codes stored in computer this will confirm whether is short circuit issue or actual problem:------

Cannot get heat of the heater. Fluid levels are full. No indication of any problems or dash lights lit.Fan does run a/c works ,...no heat

The next thing you should check is the engine thermostat. If you have dash gauges, see if the engine temp reaches regular operating temperature in under 5 minutes of driving. If it doesn't, your engine (radiator) thermostat is stuck open and needs to be replaced. Not only will you get no heat with this bad component, but it will cause the engine to get sludgy and dirty inside from varnish and un-burned-off water vapor in the crank case. Not a good thing. Good luck.

Wont start but turns over fine all gauges on dash dont move fuel gauge temp gauge and all warning lights are lit

Hello:
you will need to check the fuel pressure to see if your getting fuel, then pull off a spark plug wire and check for spark (spark should be blue) start there and this will help determine your problem.
Good luck
