Question about 2006 Dodge Magnum

1 Answer

I own a 2006 Dodge Magnum. Recently the lamps which illuminate the a/c - heater controls at night, went out. While attempting to replace them i discovered 3 tiny lamps attached to the a/c-heater circuit board. Can they be replaced? and if so, how?

If they are used for illumination ,then yes,but finding the bulbs, and soldering them in is another thing, but sometimes they are used for current flow ,resisters, and they will not be seen,so this maybe all that they are,if they are for illumination, then you need to replace them ,if you like.

They are definitely for illumination. I just have no idea where to even look for replacement parts. Any suggestions?

Where the fuse box to a 88 ford thunder bird 5.0 liter

The fuse panel is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, next to the emergency brake pedal. You need to remove the under-dash insulation to access some parts of the fuse panel.

If it doesn't have a diagram inside the box, here's one I found online: http://www.coolcats.net/tech/reference/images/fusepanel.jpg

2005 Dodge Magnum: Instrument cluster illumination problem. All instruments working; all radio and environment control lights working. Cannot see speedo, tach, etc. at night. Have been told that instrument...

No. Not dealer only. Pull instrument cluster and check for good power and ground in the connector. If you find that, locate a speedometer/cluster rebuilder online. Send it off and they'll completely rebuild it. Usually costs around $200. Then just reinstall

What problems does a crank sensor do on a 05 dodge magnum

The crank sensor on mine went out at around 80,000 miles and caused the car to stall upon stopping. Replacement of the sensor appears to have fixed the problem over the last 5,000 miles.

We just bought a 2006 R/T Hemi V-8 Magnum. The cruise does not work. It worked the other day, but thats it. How can we fix this? I need cruise control!

Its possible that you have a faulty crank shaft position sensor. Mine went out in my 05 RT and the car stalled frequently at stoplights and the cruise control would not work. It could be something else but after replacing my crank sensor I haven't had an issue.

My 2006 Dodge Magnum hesitates sometimes while in

I had the same problem. I replaced the crank shaft position sensor and it solved my problem. It would stall at intersections and while under light acceleration. It also caused loss of cruise control and a stutter when at highway speeds. Replaced crank sensor and its been running solid for 5,000 miles. $125 fix self installed.

How do you replace a burned out light?

The entire faceplate pops off. Then there are 4 screws retaining the climate control(sometimes there are just 2 staggered) remove the screws and on the backside you'll see the illumination lamp socket. Pull the socket out of it's holder and pull the bulb straight out.

Illumination light for a/c controls doesnt work

We had this fixed (thankfully, under warranty) at the dealer. They had to replace the AC/Heater control assembly. Used ones are around $150.00. Not sure what the dealer charges for new, but more than I have I assume. Only too them 30 minutes to change, so I assume you remove the screws at the bottom and the panel lifts up. Not 100% sure though. Should be like changing a radio.
