I just had SAMs Club install a new battery and my CD player is not working. The radio is find.. CD reads "Check Player" The Ford dealer wants $150 just to diagnose the problem. Would unhooking the battery and rehooking it straighten this out too?

Try unhooking the battery for a couple of minutes. Hook it back up and try ejecting it again.

Same vehicle? 2004 freestar? It could be a fuse. Or a brake switch.

Hi I have a 6 cd player (ford freestar 2005 SEL) , and it doesn't accept any cd and won't reject one inside . Any suggestions ?

you can remove and take of back to remove cd inside, but wouldn't recommend, they are considered to be sealed units. The only supported way to do is take to the dealership parts department and they can send out to their supplier to be repaired..not what you wanted to hear, but even if you would like to replace with a used one, they have an internal module called ACM, this information will have to be uploaded and then downloaded to new internal ACMin the new radio

sorry, but that is the new technology at its best, limiting what people can do on their own

Good luck

DVD player in Ford Freestar quit working with a DVD inside. It's like there is no power - nothing happens when you push the AUX button on the dash or when you push the eject button on the player itself....

Have you checked the fuse to see if it is good. you may just need to replace it. If you look in the owners manual it will show you where to find it.

CD PLAYER WANT EXCEPT CD'S AND WANT EJECT

i see this alot at my dealership, i don't want to sound rude but if you have children and if you keep change in the van, the very nice children like to put change in the nice cd slot and then things do not work right, remove the radio and shake it, if you hear stuff rattling then you will have to remove the cover and remove the change, if you remove the cover and find nothing then now would be the time to install a aftermarket cd player as they are cheaper then a factory one.

Unscrew the two screws holding the handle on the bottom of the tailgate, then using a long screwdriver pry the clips loose on the inside holding the panel on. Replace in the same order.

CD stuck in player of 2005 ford freestar

Take another cd and push the stuck one all the way back then try and eject it. If it doesn't come out right away do the process again this time when you hit eject take another cd and push down or up on it. Wiggle it around so it catches the rollers in there. Using CDs with homemade labels causes jams when the stickers peel up.
