I have a 2005 exployer and i had something similar happen to me. Try checking the wire bundle going from the driver side door to the frame. You are looking for the ground wire check for fraying or in my case it was completly severd. Cost to fix yourself $5 or $ 200-$300 if you take it in. I hope this helps

I changed my fuel pump last night in my 2002 chevy tahoe. Now my fuel guage is not working, and I am getting a low fuel message continuously. Looked for a fuse but do not know where to find it if there is...

Look at the old fuel pump and pick it up. Does it have a piece hanging off the side that you can move up and down? If so, that needs to go on the new fuel pump that is in the tank now if that didn't have one. That is your level sensor and the only way your gauge will ever work is if it is attached properly and the electrical connector plugged in. If you had transferred it to the new pump, you're still going to need to pull it down and make sure you didn't put it on backwards (not even sure that's possible).

You most likely fried a wire or blew a fuse. If it is the fuse, just find which one blew and replace it. If it was a wire, you're going to have to isolate and replace it. Better invest in a Digital Volt Ohm Meter. (DVOM)
