You can but they often time "weld" themselves to the exhaust....there is a tool for replacing that accomodates the wire. Sometimes heating the ppe around the sensor will help it free up...

2005 impala with 144,000. I have had the co2 sensor replaced 3 times driving less than 2800 miles. what is causing this?

Hi,
CO2 or just O2 sensor? O2 sensor may be going bad due to blocked/plugged catalytic converter. This can be replaced @ muffler shop...use a 'universal' type catalytic converter to save some money - you don't have to use a manufacture unless your state requires it.

Do the engine senor make your car run bad and how much is a engine senor

There are all sorts of engine sensors that do different things to your car, I had a cam shaft sensor replaced as the car was stalling and jumpy to drive. The same applies with the exhaust sensor. little sensor/electrical problems can be awkward to find and depending on the sensor costly or cheap to fix.

If you are talking about O2 sensor ?? The sensor is locater either in the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe. It's not hard to replace in either location. Hope this will help you.

Replace the ignition with a MOPAR electronic ignition kit #p3690426. You will never deal with lean burn again. It costs about $200 and bypasses the LBS.
