Question about 2000 Dodge Durango
The symptoms you're reporting indicate you have a vacuum leak. Look for;
1) damaged, loose or missing vacuum lines.
2) loose throttle body.
3) unplugged opening in the intake manifold or
4) loose bolts or missing bolts on the intake
5) If you have hard shifting as well check for a loose
or missing vacuum line on the transmission.
You can use canned ether to check suspected leaks, the engine will either rev or sputter if there is a leak. Don't just spray the ether randomly that is very dangerous. HAVE A FIRE EXTHINGUISHER HANDY, ETHER IS VERY FLAMABLE! CO2 exthiguisher is best, dry chemical make a nasty and hard to clean up mess that is caustic.

Testimonial: "yea i checked everything,it runs smooth just idles to slow and dies about 400 rpm.s im thing throttle position senser"
Mine was doing that, it also got harder to start. I have the 4.7. Check your crank sensor. It isn't the cam sensor. On 4.7 its on the passenger side on the lower block, on 5.2 and 5.7 its on the back of the block on top.

Check and clean Idle air control valve. Make sure its responding to signal as well. Also make sure ther are no vacuum hoses disconnected. This may not be a "cure" but it's a good place to start.
