Be sure you understand the WARNINGS before you proceed.
There is a high pressure and a low pressure fitting. You need the low pressure fitting, it should be on the line coming from the condenser which is in front of the radiator. If you are not qualified you should have a qualified A/C technitian do the work.

WARNINGS:

IF YOU GET THE REFRIGERANT ON YOU IT WILL CAUSE SEVERE FROST BITE INJURIES AND CAN CAUSE DEATH!

OVER CHARGING THE A/C SYSTEM CAN CAUSE THE A/C LINES TO EXPLODE WHICH MAY CAUSE SEVERE INJURIES OR DEATH!

My air conditioner is not working, the light comes on but it does not blow cold air

you may need freon. i believe your car uses the 134a and you will probably need a bout 1 and 1 half to 2 cans. you should buy the refill fit which comes with the connectors and the pressure gauge.

How to fill the air conditioner system with freon Corsica 1995

RECHARGING AC SYSTEM

1.Turn the truck on and turn AC on HIGH
2.Locate the low side AC line (will have a valve and cap similar to the cap on a tire)
3.Insert the oil or R-134A can to the hose (Do not turn the screw to puncture the can yet)
4.Insert the other end of the refill hose to the low side valve
5.Puncture the R-134A can with the screw on the refill hose
6.You should feel the system suction the refrigerant out of the can
7.Check for frost on the AC lines and the air blowing inside the truck
8.If frost develops and the air is cold, you've successfully recharged the system and disconnect the refill hose. DO NOT ADD MORE REFRIGERANT...overcharging the system will damage your compressor and will be less effective
Hopefully this answers your question and you're able to get your AC working again. Best of luck.

1995 pontiac grand am: AC

You take your car to the nearest licensed automotive A/C shop and have them evacuate the system and recharge.

I'm saying this because once you have opened the system, you have let moisture into it. Even a small amount of moisture will damage your A/C system, and needs to be removed. Also, they will know just how much refrigerant to put into the system once it is moisture free.
