SOURCE: ac vent problem

the vacuum canister is located under the battery tray on this model truck, however the most common problem are the vacuum lines that run around the battery box. usually the battry will leak acid at some point in time and create holes in the small hard plastic lines. i would remove the battery and check the vacuum lines first.

I have a 98 Buick Lesabre Limited. It blows Cool air, but not Cold. And also, I can't seem to make it blow out of the Center Dash Vents.

Cornelius, vent problem could be a pinched or loose vacuum line on controller, faulty AC vacuum motor, faulty AC programmer, etc. needs to be checked out by a good Tech, diagnosed and estimate on repair.
As far as vehicle only blowing cool air, issue could be blend door issue, plugged AC condenser core dirt/debris, low AC refrigerant, plugged AC lines internal, failing compressor, etc., again should be checked out, diagnosed and estimate for repair by a good Tech.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

AC BLOWING THROUGH DEFROSTER VENTS

on the controls for you AC there is settings that send it where you want, floor, dash, vent, defrost. choose vent. Also notorious for vent doors getting stuck from dirt, leaves etc going down the breather under your hood on top the rear fire wall down the holes and clogging the louvers so they cant switch over. check the setting but if not, this is really a job for buick. pretty complicated and risky to mess with for the novice machanic.

92 buick park ave only blows heat through defrost

Sounds like you might have blown the BM unit. As far as the vent selection goes, I worked on a Buick LeSabre a few years ago with the same kind of trouble. There is a vacuum distribution block down under the glove compartment that directs the route air goes. It is notoriously trouble. In my case the block was poorly formed. Sometimes the vacuum connections on the block are plugged, sometimes they crack or break off. Unless you are a full blown Mr Fixit you just need to replace the block.

I have a 1994 buick lesabre. the car does not blow air or heat from the vents.. it only blows from the defrost vent. i also have the issue that the car only blows hot air when the ac is running.. i tried...

The air circulation system is designed to go into default mode if it cannot function properly. Default mode is defrost only. That could also be why your getting heat only. The main reason that the system goes into default mode is a vacuum leak. Check the vacuum servo motors that operate the vent doors with a hand held vacuum pump. They are usually located under the dash. If this is the problem then the freon level will have to be corrected or else the AC operation could be effected.

Air doesn't blow out of dash vents

If it has automatic climate controls.Look to either a blend door actuator or the ac programmer. A vacuum leak at the ac programmer or actuator can also cause this if they use vacuum.

Heater/ac door actuator isnt workin right. air coming out of bottom and top vent but not from the face vents. keep switchin control to switch vents. only goes to bottom and to the windshield vents.

Sounds like either the computer that controls the auto climate control has gone out or you could have a vacuum leak. I would definitely check the vacuum leak first. I took my 98 Lesabre to a repair shop several years ago for the same problem. When I picked it up they told me my computer was out and it would cost around $600 to fix. As an alternative, they had unhooked and rerouoted vacuum lines, breaking a tube off the controls under the right side of the dash. They told me that they would have to remove my glove box each spring and fall and reconnect the vacuum lines to change the airflow from floor to dash and vise versa. My fix was to run the lines under the dash just beneath the ash tray and connect shut off valves to the vacuum lines. Now when I need to use the AC I can change the flow of the vacuum by simply turning these two valves so that the flow changes from floor to dash or back. I know this is pretty jack leg but the damage had been done and this has actually worked pretty good.

turn air vents to one side once all the way pull on the part sticking out the most they all come out like that. There will be a screw on the top inside of the vent remove these from each vent.On the bottom were your ac control panel is there is plastic wood grain piece that goes across the dash.Get a flat head screwdriver stick in top of wood grain pry out and work your way down.theres also a small piece on the driver side same senerio.theres a couple screws above the gauges also two in top on inside glove box.
