2003 honda accord. will not start, can hear starter turning regularly, but will not catch and turn over. Battery is strong. lights come on, horn blows radio works. automatic not manual.

If your starter is turning, but not engaging, your start is more than likely stuck. Replace your starter and you should be alright. You could try tapping on the starter with a hammer to try and dislodge the starter gear, but this doesn't always work, and is very inconvenient.

Your onboard security system probably has the fuel system disabled. This is common when the battery gets disconnected. The imobilizer unit will sometimes set a code if the battery gets disconnected then hooked back up. clearing the fault codes will usually get the engine to start again.

For the second time, my S60 awd turbo has for the

After working on Volvo's for the past five yrs, I have come to find the the S60 has more problems than you can shake a stick at, the biggest & most often is the electronic throttle body goes bad & or it has lost it's programming. The add on alarm could also be part of the problem, most Volvo's come with a factory alarm & to put an after market one is just asking for trouble. If you don't have a check engine light with this problem check the connection's at the battery, & have your tech check for voltage at the starter when the key is turned to start position, if the starter is getting a full 12 volt's & won't turn it needs to be replaced, if not getting voltage down there at the starter post, I would look at the electrical portion of the ignition switch. hope this help's you out. Good luck!

My car won't stay started

Your imobilizer has activated. You want start the car from the key when this happens. And when you do manage to start it,It will only run for 2 seconds. If you have a key fob try replacing the battery.Or have an auto electrtion to bypass the imobilizer.I hope that was help full.Good luck.

Wont get power

sounds like the problem is your imobilizer faulty.Get a bit of wire and atach it to the positive conection on the battery. Then touch the small wire on the starter to see if the motor turns. If it does then your imobilizer is the fault.Good luck.

if you turned the key with the ignition with the imobilizer, you now have to get the right ignition and a new PCM because the PCM now thinks the car has SKIM (imobilizer)
