Question about 2005 Mazda 6

Placed battery backwards

What will happen to the circuit? did i fry all of it so that now my only option is to either spend thousands of dollars to fix it or get a new car? or is this year car and model designed to blow the fuses first to prevent more serious problems? My car wont start at all even with the battery in the right way and nothing works except the dashboard, wipers, headlights.

im not sure exactly, the fuse box next to battery has little different colored chips, hard to take out, but from the looks of the 40 (which is 3 of them) most look good still, shiny

Mazda 626 overheating fixable

Any engine issue is fixable, it comes down to how much you intend to spend based on the year and condition of the car. Until the cause of the overheating is know (at least $100 for diagnosis) the cost to repair can be from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars.

How to Pay Off a Car Loan Faster?

Depending what company you are with most will let you make extra payments. Some people spend money on going out to eat or buying coffee each day Well put the money you spend for coffee and lock it in a place and once a month put that on your loan. Coffee at two dollars a cup every day means over seven hundred dollars a year. Some people can save over a thousand dollars a year or more that way.
Also if you can pay twice a month the interest cost goes down as well. Even if you split your payments to twice a month your interest is cheaper than if you make a full payment once a month. Even weekly payments is better. The secret is if you come into extra money DON"T blow it. Pay down your debt.

Id like to bypass the tx 101 immobiliser or take it out completely .What's involved ?

That would depend ENTIRELY on the MAKE, MODEL & YEAR of your vehicle... and how many hundreds... possibly THOUSANDS of dollars you want to spend ($$$$$).

I'd suggest that you consider getting the factory ELECTRICAL diagrams/drawings of your vehicle... going over the essential equipment you want to PARALLEL FUNCTIONALITY... to bypass.

On my neighbor... & his daughter... who spent thousands just getting their TRUCKs & CARs regularly TOWED to the FORD DEALER... I was finally able to teach him...
life would be better... if he merely made 2 EXTRA (additional) keys... and made sure he always had FOUR... (2 minimum).

(I'm just saying).

If you don't want to spend the money of the circuit drawings... go to (FREE: registration required for EULA purposes)and pull up your vehicles schematics...
Technically what you are asking is not impossible...

Good luck... My wisdom prevail.

I have an ls montey carlo 1997 3.1 an would like to put a 3.8 supercharged engine in it is this possible.

Many modifications are possible if you have thousands of dollars to spend on the project with a car that is barely worth $2800.
My guess is that you don't have thousands of dollars to spend on this kind of engine change, which, by the way would require a transmission change also together with numerous other changes/upgrades.
If you want a GM vehicle with a 3.8 supercharged engine fitted then sell or trade in your car and buy one of them. That is the only viable and economic way to do it.

My dash lights went out when someone fried my battery by putting cables on backwards. Don't know exactly what happened. So don't know how to fix. Help please.

Many of today's cars have more electronics than mechanical items anymore. Rather than the old point-to-point wiring that was the norm, now the cars use computerized serial data buses to transmit control signals and the like. Hooking the battery of backward is a big no-no on these systems as it fries everything since the protection circuits aren't designed to ward off such errors. If you are having multiple electrical issues after a battery "backward boo-boo", you're best taking the car to an auto electric specialist and explaining what happened. They can assess the level of damage and can tell you if it may be cheaper to replace the car than repair it......

Smog check tech says 90 van (v6 3/4ton) is automaticallY failed by computer hook up If mil light comes on at any time during test. Obd1 codes present are 12 which merely says power has been disconnected at...

Because they like to get you to spend money. Complaints have come in on new cars (less than 2 yrs old) that fail and the owners are told to go spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on repairs.
The intentions are good, but the way they go about the program is horrible. I agree that some codes shouldn't result in a Fail, but they just give a blanket statement that any code=Fail.
Looks like you need to get those issues resolved before having it tested again.

Can i change my manual transmission for my 1995 ford aspire to automatic transmission?

Possible, but will cost far in excess of the value of the car, before and after. You have a 500 dollar car and you are going to spend thousands. Why don't you just buy a 99 Ford with a manual for about a thousand dollars.

I have a 94 SL 5 spd with manual steering. What hardware do I need to convert to power steering?

The car itself is worth 500 dollars if it runs, you are going to spend twice that much converting it. So spend a thousand dollars and buy a 99 saturn with power steering and then sell yours for five hundred. That way you are only out 500 and all of your parts are 5 years newer.

My boyfriend hooked up the battery backwards to my lincoln continental and fried some wires. I am not sure what wires he fried but was wanting to know how much it would cost me to get a new fuse box?

Your problem could be alot worse that just the fusebox... Depending on what wires got fried depends on what circuits were open (on ) at the time, and how long the battery was installed backwards... Unlikely that this is gonna be a easy fix, get a mechanic to look at it, and see what exactly got fried.
