You will have to pull the door trim back as far as you can you will damage it but no other way place a long rod or tool into the space and push or lift the locking striker inside the assembly or find the clip off and put back on or grab the rod or cable that is at fault and manually pull or push when you get it open TAKE THE CHILD LOCK OFF lol

If the little lever on the door latch doesn't work, you will need a new door latch.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open

My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

Can not open back door on 2003 blazer. i'm trying to use emergency latch not working....

If you can't open the door from either the inside or outside, and the lock is moved to the "unlock" position, then the latch itself may be bad. First try manually locking and unlocking the door several times to see if the lock mechanism has gotten full of crud and see if that helps any. If it opens from the outside but not the inside then the child safety latch might be engaged which prevents the door from being opened accidentally from the inside by young children or the inner door handle linkage [in the door] might be broken. If nothing you do helps at all then you many have to remove the inner door panel to get to the latch linkage inside the door and try opening it there by manually moving these linkage rods. [not easy to do when the door won't open] Usually one of these methods will get the door open. Good luck and hope this helps a bit.

Back door is lock

Is the child safety lock on? If you can open it from the outside but not on the inside, this is most likely the problem. There is a tiny dial on the inside of the door, where the door connects with the vehicle. Turn child safety latch off.

1994 Ford Explorer, both back doors wont open. I think the child locks are locked on, but I can't open them from the outside either, I have the door skin off of one of them. Is there a pin or latch I can...

if you can open the door from the outside of the truck when you look at the backside of the door you should see a little opening for the child safety locks one way locks the door so it cant be opened from the inside the way other way unlocks the safety latch the door should be able to be opened from the inside and outside of the truck

Door locks

Regarding the rear door child locks: There is a small lever on the latch side of the door, you can only see it with the door open. Move it to the other position.

Regarding the front door locks: You either have a bad door lock switch, or the power lock solenoids are beginning to fail. To check this, you will need to pull the door panels off, & measure the actual voltage at the solenoids whilst manipulating the lock switch. If you have 12 + VDC, I would suggest replacing the door lock solenoids. Not hard to change, but it IS time consuming. Best left to a dealer. Expect to pay 1 hour per side to change each solenoid.
