Whay are my brakes dragging? I replaces them about

Why are my brakes dragging? I replaced the pads about 1 month ago . It seems like I have to press really hard to get the car to stop. I feel drag in the gas pedal when I am accelerating.

It sounds like your Power Booster for your brakes is bad, Have it checked out and replaced and your brakes will work great again.

As you have replaced the pads already, you need to look a you brake disc.
If the disc are too polished due to excessive usage during this years, they need to be reconditioned for effective contact. Get the surface more rough. You may requied to check you brake oils level and whether your brake lines free from air trapped in between.

Replace the rear brake hose/s. They deteriorate on the inside and clog up. Not letting the calipers or cylinders to release. I recommend replacing the front and rear.

I would guess your master cylinder is not retracting all the way.

I'm hearing a grinding sound underneath my suv when i press on the brakes. i replaced my brakes about 4 months ago

If You are hearing a grinding sound when you press on your brakes it probably has something to do with the brakes again so I would take it back to the place that replaced them 4mo ago and have them fix it cause they should be responsible for your brakes if you just paid them to replace them 4mo ago

Hi, two months ago low brake fluid indicator came on, brake fluid was added. This morning low brake fluid warning came on. I must have a leak. Front brake pads & rotors replaced 10 months ago.

Take it to a shop which has a lift, like an oil change or muffler shop, have them put on the lift. The leak will be apparent as it will be a wet recent stain. Then you will know if you are looking at a brake line fix, a leaking master or slave cylinder.

Do not blame the guy who did the pads 10 months ago, anything he did wrong would be immediately apparent and would not take 8 months to show.

My brakes were replaced about 3 months ago but the brake warning light just came on last night, why? About 2wks ago I had my ball joints replaced and they checked the brakes because of screaching when I...

The brake light will come on when the brake fluid is low or the parking brake is on. New brakes can make noise at first but not after 3 months. Screeching is caused by low quality pads/rotors or a lack of lubricant on brake parts and behind the pads.

My brake light is on and my care seems to be sluggish

Your brakes may be dragging due to not releasing properly. Suggest that you take the car to a brake shop and have them inspect the entire system. Good luck!

Brakes grab occasionally.

It sounds like you don't have the shoes adjusted properly. If they don't drag on the drums, a little, they will extend too far and bind. Get the back of the truck off the ground, so you can spin the back wheels and adjust the brake shoes until you have some drag, this should solve your problem. Good luck.

Front brakes binding and grinding

Sounds like your brake calibers are sticking. Get new ones and new pads. You probably should get new rotors also because with the dragging calibers they most likely got hot and are warped. Search on ebay and www.rockauto.com . I personally use power stop drilled and slotted rotors with mid grade pads. You can probably get a whole kit.
