Check to make sure that the fuse to the cigarette lighter is not blown or that something like a penny has not found its way in there and shorted out the fuse. Check all the fuses because it will throw the diagnostic tool off if they are blown. *** Please rate me on this answer.***

Where is the computer connection located

Dave,

Your question is incomplete! Are you reffering to the ECM, or the brain of your vehicle. Or are you wanting to know where to connect a code reader? The ECM is located on the Firewall approximately behind the battery. If you are trying to connect a code reader, there are connectors beside the battery, you have to fish around for them.

Well I have somewhat the same issue. 2001 rodeo ecm will not read to obd all wiring and connections are good no bad fuses runs and drives great but will not pass obd2 test will not connect with ecu in

There are a number of different cables required to connect code readers to the data link. Unless you have the correct cable and the necessary data plug to do the job it will not connect .IF your tester has a problem I would suggest that you take it to a mazda service department as they will have the correct cables and reader to check codes.

2008 Pontiac g6 ecm port under the dash, when code reader is plugged in it gives a link error? Any ideas what to troubleshoot

is your code reader "can" ready? the newer cars communicate to scanners using different protocols and your scanner may not have that protocol. have you scanned the vehicle using this scanner before? also check fuses as most manufacturers use the cigaret lighter fuse to power the "dlc" data link connector.

Have a BMW 528i 1997 giving me a P0340 OBD error message. Have replaced the CPS with OEM part, but still get an error message telling me Sensor A Bank1 - Circuit Malfunction. OBD reader still gives me...

Hi,
Sorry to hear you're having a problem.
The code you have is telling you the
1 - cam sensor bank 1 is bad or having problems
2 -the shielding around the wiring harness in that area is grounded -
3- the cam lobe is worn
4 - some connection is loose or worn near on on the cam or cam sensor.

I hope this helps you get pointed in the right direction

If this helps please vote me up.

Thanks
Gary
