Brake fluid leaking rear drivers side1997 cavalier

The leak could be due to a leaking brake line in the rear or a leaking brake cylinder. Have the car inspected for the leak by a reputable garage. The car will need to be towed, since it has no brakes.
If you do your own work, refill the master cylinder. Have someone depress the brake peddle while you look under the car for the leak.

I HAVE FLUID LEAKING FROM THE REAR PASSAGER WHEEL HOW CAN I FINE WHERE IT IS COMING FROM.

Hi, it is likely your brake wheel cylinder has failed. You would need to jack up the van and remove the wheel and drum to verify. See photo below and let me know if you would like instructions for replacing the cylinder. The part is about $12 at Autozone.

1995 K3500 rear brake reservoir keeps losing fluid. No sign of a leak yet. Is the rear reservoir for the front brakes or rear brakes? Have front calipers and rear drums. Thanks

Hi, you are right the rear is for the rear, the best thing is to pull both rear wheels off and remove drums that way you are looking at the wheel cylinder and then you will know if that is your problem, some times when they leak you cant see it with out pulling drums off. If no problem there check around master cylinder for leaks and around brake booster inside truck. Then if you still have no sign of fluid take the two nuts off master cylinder and see if leak is in side booster is wet.
If need more info please re post.
Thanks dodge tec

The right rear wheel has brake fluid leaking is it easy to rebuild them. I havent taken the wheel off but since i have to keep feeling the fluid reservoir i am assume it is the cylinder since i cant see...

This is a dangerous situation. You need to get it to a repair shop pronto.

Rebuilding brake cylinders is not a normal do it yourself job. Leave this to a pro.

1997 Chevy 1500 pickup 2wd v8, stepping down on brake bubbles master cylinder checked all lines checked all wheels and bleed ABS system, still have bubbles. Master cylinder is new. Any ideas?

One of the wheel cylinders is leaking, pulling air back into brake system and it's going back to the4 master cylinder. Look for brake fluid leaking at one of the wheel cylinders, that's where the problem is.

If you have any flex/rubber lines at or near that rear wheel, I'd change it.
