No, there's no secondary fuel pump. Hard-start can be due to a number of possibilities, but the first thing to check is the fuel filter. Has it been replaced lately?

2006 dodgeram 1500 wont start. new battery, got light ,power locks, radio, it all works . just will crank but not start

There is no magic "fix" button. You will have to perform standard diagnostic procedures to determine the fault.
Begin with checking fuel system pressure and spark.
The truck is nearly 10 years old. Has it ever had a major tune-up? Has the fuel filter ever been replaced? No? Well, there's a good place to begin!

What does it means p2258 code for 2003 Ford Focus , Smog test Failed

P2258 Secondary Air Injection System Control A Circuit High

http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...f/OBDSM505.pdf

Secondary air systems typically utilize an electric air pump as well as one or two electrically controlled check valves to deliver air into the exhaust manifold.

The only vehicle which uses secondary air is the 2.3L PZEV Focus. The Focus uses a system with ported air. This means that airflow is delivered to each individual exhaust port. The secondary air pump is energized soon after start-up while the fuel system is in open loop and icing conditions are not likely. After the O2 sensors warm up, the secondary air pump continues to be energized while the fuel system goes into closed loop fuel. The secondary air system continues to run in closed loop fuel until the air pump is de-energized. The typical time period in which the AIR pump is energized is approximately 12 seconds.

The AIR pump flow check monitors the HO2S signal at idle to determine if secondary air is being delivered into the exhaust system. The air/fuel ratio is commanded open-loop rich, the AIR pump is turned on and the time required for the HO2S signal to go lean is monitored. If the HO2S signal does not go lean within the allowable time limit, a low/no flow malfunction is indicated. (P0411)

The electric air pump draws high current and must be energized through a separate relay. Both the primary and secondary circuits are checked for opens and shorts. First, the output driver within the PCM (primary circuit) is checked for circuit continuity (P0412). This circuit energizes the relay and the vacuum-operated check and control valve(s). Next, a feedback circuit from the secondary side of the relay to the PCM is used to check secondary circuit continuity (P2257, P2258).

2005 dodgeram reduce engine power

Clogged Cat
Reduced Fuel Pressure
Clogged Fuel Filter
Clogged Air Filter
Bad Fuel Pump

This should give you a path to start troubleshooting. I would put my money on a Defective Fuel Pump..

Secondary fuel pump is going out what do i have to fix

Your 2000 Ford. only has one fuel pump, no secondary, if no fuel pump pressure, check fuse, if fuse good, check voltage at fuel pump connector, fuel pump sit in gas tank, check voltage there, will only have voltage for 3 -5 seconds, every time the key is cycle, from on to off, if you have voltage there, bad fuel pump, fuel tank will have to come off, to replace fuel pump.

Car starts and cuts out after 2 to 3 seconds. fuel

When the ignition switch is turned on the pcm turns on the fuel pump by energizing the fuel pump relay. The PCM keeps the fuel pump on as long as the engine is cranking over or running. It does this by recieving pulses from the ignition module. If there are no referance pulses the PCM will turn the fuel pump relay off in 2 seconds with the ingnition on.

Most models also include a secondary control path through the oil presure switch witch will turn the fuel pump on after it detects oil presure.cranking time will be longer if the fuel pump doesn't recieve current until oil presure switch contact is closed.

Would the water in fuel module being bad have any reltionship to a bad injector ?(f250 06 6.0l)

fuel module controls the fuel injection thru the fuel injector and being bad there will be a no start situation.there may be a bad injector (not all in one time)but the engine shld start.this model has a primary and secondary fuel pump.the first one is located at the rh rear chassis while the second is on the engine top portion.

New fuel pump and secondary fuel mod and still won't staart ( no fuel )

Not sure what secondary fuel mod you are posting about, can you explain what this is ?
Have you checked the fuel inertia switch in the passenger side kick panel ?
Is this a 2004 New Body style or 2004 Heritage / Lightning ?
If it is a New body style, have you checked / replaced the fuel pump driver module ? This is on the cross member by the spare tire, and some times they get corroded and crack.
44248c8.jpg

The fuel pump is powered from the Fuel pump relay ( non serviceable in the Cab fuse panel ) to the fuel inertia switch to the fuel pump driver module. The PCM is also connected to the fuel pump driver module
The fuel pump relay normally open contact is powered by Fuse #34 ( this fuse also feeds the PCM ). The fuel pump relay coil is powered by the PCM power relay.
If you are testing and the truck has not started, the PCM will shut off the Fuel pump after 5 seconds ( 8 ? ) of not having started. The only way to clear this is to have the truck start, or disconnect the battery.
Have you tested the fuel pressure on the fuel rail ?
