HMS Lamp will be mounted in roof or in rear parcel tray.

You have to locate the screws which will be closed/covered by a dummy cap. Remove the cap and unscrew the assembly, you will be able to replace the bulbs

We are trying to figure out how to access the high mount brake light to change the bulb; the bulb does not just pull out. i have researched the manual as well, and it does not show this either.

The high mount brake light may be held in by two screws. They may be allen wrench or philips head. Remove the screws and the bulb will either turn out or you can just pull them straight out. This should give you a good solution to your problem.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE BULB FOR THE HIGH MOUNT STOP LIGHT?

From the Owners Manual

Here's what the Owners Manual has to say about the high-mount brake light replacement:

  1. Pry the light assembly away from its housing and push rearward to disengage it from the retaining clips.
  2. Lift the front of the light assembly from the parcel shelf
  3. Disconnect the light assembly wiring and replace the light assembly.

How do i change the brake light on jeep liberty 2006?

1) You will need to open the rear swing door.

2) On the inside jam there are two torx headed screws (T-15's if I remember correctly).

3) Unscrew the two torx screws.

4) The light is now held by two mounting tabs (small spherical headed plastic sets that go through a rubber grommet).

5) You will need to pry the light casing off (easy pressure with a good size flat head screw driver will do the trick).

6) The light bulbs are twist mount settings inside the light casing.

7) Twist out the mount setting, change the bulbs, and reset the light mountings.

8) To put the light casing push the light casing back on and put in the screws. Everything else will work in reverse when it comes to assembling the whole unit.

Toyota '94 Cover of high-mounted stop light won't come off

The cover under the rear windshield DOES come off and you need to finagle it a bit to get it to come loose. Try to push in on both sides while lifting up and pulling towards you or pushing on the front while pushing up. There are a couple of plastic clips that hold it on, but once you get any one of them to come loose the whole thing will come off, promise!!
