The transmission does nothing. Have you checked the fluid. It is common on these to strip the threads for the pump shaft from the converter. Usually when it does this the fluid will read overfull by about a quart

Ford freestar problems

Not enough detail in description. Does the engine run, but car doesn't move? If that is the condition it would likely be the transmission. Check the transmission fluid level, and try all gears selections in sequence. Park, drive, low, neutral then reverse. Have it towed to a shop or at least a safe place to do the checking.

My 2007 ford Freestar squeals every time I accelerate

sounds like it may be nothing more than a lose belt. have a mechanic check the belt tension. You can check the tension yourself by pressing down on each belt with the engine off. If the belt moves more than an inch or so it should be tightened. Only other explanation would be a transmission slip.

2005 freestar fans not cutting on causing engine to run hot, what could be the cause. Once I get moving on the interstate it cools off, but in town I am constantly looking at the temperture needle. Thanks

YOU COULD CHECK THE FUSES FOR THE COOLING FAN RELAYS. THERE ARE 2. RELAY 1 AND RELAY 2. THEY ARE IN THE FRONT PART OF THE FUSE BOX IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FUSE FOR RELAY 1 IS LABELED F3 AND IS A 30 AMP FUSE. AND RELAY 2 IS LABELED F2 AND IS A 30 AMP FUSE.

2004 ford freestar 4.2L engine...high pitched

this sounds odd but mine did this when i replaced the wipers. it seems the design of the wiper frame was making a whistle at higher speeds. the freestar wipers are exposed on the window cowl and not hidden so they endure the winds at high speed. it is worth a shot.

How to replace engine coolant temp sender on 2005 Ford Freestar?

Switch ig. on, ground the sender unit wire for about 3 seconds see if the temp. gauge moves, if so change sender unit, if not then it is a faulty gauge reader. also check instrument voltage stabilizer.
