Hi some vehicles are fitted with what is known as a "limp home" system, this might be a fault with the transmission, and what it is doing is reducing the power so you do not cause any damage to the motor, this will have to be put on a diagnostic system to find out what is exactly wrong, but normally it is to do with the gear selector switch...hope this helps

My reduce engine power came on what does that mean i have a 2004 Pontiac grand prix with a super charge

Generally speaking, it means the engine computer has found a problem that could damage the engine or emissions, so it is restricting power output. The driver should have the engine computer checked for trouble codes next.

My 2004 pontiac grand prix gtp has twice now thrown reduced engine power across my dash and acts like it cant get any gas and comes to a stop. Does anyone know what this might be the first time I figured...

Have the fault codes read as a reduce power message means that something is wrong either in the engine or the gear box. check oil and coolant levels and treat the message seriously as it is intending to stop costly damage

Need to know what the "reduced engine power' MIL

this is one of two things, first theres a problem with the engine , the way it runs its loosing power or if the wheels spin and the computer picks it up then it will reduce the power to avoid wheels from slippping, this is like when driving in the snow, now if the check engine light is coming on with this message then you have a problem and the first thing to do would be to have the codes pulled and see what codes are stored. what happens is the computer sees a problem and turns on the light and stores a code for that problem. for example there may be a code that reads po300 multiple misfires. this code would mean the computer has seen the motor misfiring and with some testing the problem can be found. there are many auot part stores that will scxan the computer for free and give you a read out with the code. if you get the codes i can help you further, have a good day.
