Here it is...

Time is a major issue when it comes to diagnosing problems with your car. If you wait too long, something that was once fixable can destroy your car over time. Keeping a close eye on your car's oil pump is extremely important because a bad oil pump can deprive your engine of oil pressure2003 Volks Passat 4 Cyl. - mag-glass_10x10.gif and severely damage or ruin it. jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); });

  1. Step 1 Look at the dashboard when you slow down and when you take off. If the "check oil pressure" light appears when you are stopped and disappears when you begin moving, this is a sign that your oil pump is having problems.
  2. Step 2 Pop open your hood and remove your oil dipstick to check your oil. If your oil measures low on your dipstick, there may be a crack in your oil pump, debris stuck in the pump, or some other problem with your oil pump.
  3. Step 3 Listen carefully for any noises coming from your engine, such as a rattling or whining noise. A bad oil pump will cause the engine to lose oil pressure and become damaged.
  4. Step 4 Park your car and look underneath. If there is a large amount of oil on the ground, the oil pump has gone out.
  5. Step 5 Take your car to a mechanic, who will have to remove your oil pump and disassemble it. Reassembling the oil pump and putting it back in your car is the only way to know for sure that your oil pump is the culprit of your car problems.

2003 Chevy Trailblazer engine power lose light come on

Hi Steve , your vehicle has electronic throttle control . I don't know if you are aware of this. The gas pedal have position sensors an a wiring connector with 4-6 wires .these wires are connected to the engine computer . an there is a electric motor on the throttle body assembly , the computer opens an closes the throttle . You probably have codes stored in the engine computer .
Reduced Engine Power Mode When the PCM detects a condition with the TAC system the PCM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
Acceleration limiting--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.

Limited throttle mode--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.

Throttle default mode--The control module will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.

Forced idle mode--The control module will perform the following actions:

Limit engine speed to idle by positioning throttle position, or by controlling fuel and spark if throttle is turned off.

Ignore accelerator pedal input.

Engine shutdown mode--The control module will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

No speed when gas pedal is to floor tranny light came on

With the oil light coming on and the brake pedal being hard to press I would say that the engine stopped hence no vacuum -no power assist from the booster.- hard brake pedal. The lock uo feeling may come from the engine seizing up while you were still in gear

I have a 2003 volks wagon v6 passat i changed the oil 2 weeks ago and now the car is making a noise my mechanic said that it might be the barons but hes not sure because he doesnt work on volks wagons and...

As long as you put the correct filter on which if it isn't leaking you most likey did and put the proper amount of oil in there is no way the noise is related to the oil change regardless what type of oil you used.
Unless you used trans fluid or antifreeze but that highly unlikely. Although I did have customers come in that put diesal fuel in there cars. Un fortionly cars can make so many different noises there is no way I can be any help. But ask your friends and or people you work with where thay take there vehicles and if they are satified with there service. I hope you make out ok.

'98 S10 4 cyl. 5 speed: Sudden high idle, now surges.

Go to your local shucks or auto zone and they can check any codes behind your check engine light and it's free. It sounds like one of two things a O2 sensor or your mass airflow sensor but they will tell you for sure

This could be one of 2 things, your alternator or power steering pump! But the braking part has me scratching my head! Dose it make this sound if the car is stopped an you rev the engine??? Has the car been in a 'fender-bender' lately? Do need more info!! Sorry Frankster016

Oil light

Hi lady d tilli,

Take off the fuse cover on the drivers side of the dash. there should be a bunch of fuses. in the middle is a red button that says "reset." turn your key to the on position, but DO NOT START. press the reset button until the change oil light blinks, then turn the key back off it should be fine after that. for the 05's theres somthing you have to do with the gas pedal. i think you do the same, by turning the key on but not starting...and then tapping the gas pedal 3 times.

Hope this helps a bit,
Good luck,
