Question about 2000 Volkswagen GTI
I have a 2000 VW GTI VR6. I'm trying to connect a performance chip to my intake air temp sensor. I think it is part of the mass air flow sensor. It has five wires. #1 blue with yellow strip. #2 small wire red with purple. #3 small wire purple with green. #4 and #5 are wrapped together, green and black. I cant find the right one to connect to. If both sensors are one! my last 6 # of vin- 672708
Do not cut into these wires. any real performance programmer will not require you to do this. these ones that tell you to cut into the IAT will ruin a $700 mass air flow meter, and do not do anything. all they do is try to trick the computer into thinking it is colder then it actually is, and to richen the fuel mixture, which will actually HURT performance and emissions because the air density does not match what the temp sensor is reading. the temp sensor is there for a reason!
