There are some possibilities which you will have to check in this case:--
1) First of all check the power and voltage to the battery.with meter it will show exact 12 volt if the battery is charged.if the voltage is less get the battery charged at local auto repair shop.if the battery is internally drained and not getting charged then its time to replace the battery.
2) When you crank the car do you see spark coming at the spark plug? if no then its time to check the spark plugs and coil pack.if the spark plugs are not worn out and looks new then its time to check coil pack.the spark plugs gets power to spark from coil pack.
3) The other thing to check in this case is the starter solenoid of the car.if the battery is charged and you start the car then it gives power to the starter to start the car.but if starter is faulty or not connected properly then car will not start.
4) The other thing to check in this case is fuel in the car.if there is fuel in the car then check the blockages in the fuel pump if the fuel pump looks proper then check the fuel filter above the fuel pump.
5) If all the above possibilities mentioned above checked out OK/perfect then its a electrical issue and the wiring's in the car needs to be checked.the car gets power from the battery to get started.so the wires from battery needs to be checked one by one.
6) Also as you mentioned that when the key is in ON position at that time all the car electrical accessories comes on.This indicates that the ignition switch in which the car key is inserted is getting short.its not turning the car On, but its turning the accessories on.Also get the ignition switch checked.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

The wire leading the the starters solenoid has a buried fusable link inside of it. It will be inches away from the connection to the solenoid. Take an OHM Meter and check for continuity. A volt meter can be used as well to measure the voltage to it. If that proves to be good your Ignitions electrical switch will be at fault instead

Well its either one of two problems ,either a wire has come loose on the starter motor solonoid ,a starter relay has packed up or the ignition lock on the back of the steering barrel has broken, the other alternative is the immobilisor ,to check it out use a length of wire from the + on the battery and touch it to the small wire on the back of the starter motor solonoid and see what happens if engine starts then work down from the ignition switch ,if it works but still will not start then its the immobilisor .But i have just thought of a far out thing but i have had this before and thats the battery /chassis/engine earth strap it could have broke so you have no power to the engine .Also check the obvious first though and thats to check the fuses

Car won' start. Instrument panel is dead, battery is ok

Sounds like a loose connection. Does anything electrical come on? Radio, heater, head lights? What happens when you try to start with these on?
if they come on, but stop when you turn the key, it is a connection issue. Are the battery posts clean?
When you say battery is good, how did you check it? even if it has 12.5 volts or better, it could have a bad cell and voltage drops when you try to start.
Check the ground to make sure it is tight.
With out knowing what type of vehicle this is, some have a fuse link coming off the positive side (red) of the battery. Is that ok?

Won't start. key works in aux position but not when turned all the way

If you have power in aux position(ex.)radio works but doesn't when you put the key in the start position, the ignition switch is bad,the contacts are warn out for starting/cranking&run positions, these are used everytime you start your car,but auxillary is ony used once in awhile(ex.)your sitting listening to music while waiting for someone to come, but if you do have radio in the run position, but no cranking/starting you could have a blown resistor on fire wall or fuse for ignition,or the starter has called it quits, good luck I don't know if the starter is clicking rapid or just one click or just no power not cranking or cranking a better description of everything that happens will make this alot easier

My key is stuck in the ignition of my ML 320 2000 benz it will start and shuts off but I cannot get the key out any suggestions

Make sure shift lever is all of the way into the Park position. Also make sure that the steering wheel is turned to a position where it can be locked.

Chances are that the key is not turning far enough back to release. The 2 issues listed above are the most common reasons a key won't turn all of the back.

Good luck!

the clicking that you hear is coming from the starter relay. sounds like your ignition starter switch or ignition lock cylinder is bad.

2003 alero steering won't lock and nothing happens when you turn the key in the ignition

If the security light keeps flashing, you might as well do a reset.
Be sure to turn off all the accesories including the radio before you start the process.
Insert the key to the ignition switch and turn the key to ON position without starting the car.
leave it ON until the flashing light (security) stops. It will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
As soon the flashing stop, turn the key to OFF
position and start the cart.
Hope this help.
