Question about 1997 Ford Mustang Cobra
I have a '97 Mustang 3.8 v6 5 speed. My check engine light came on and then the car started to shake violently. At higher rpm's its get better but at idle its noticeable. I pluged an actron pocketscan plus into the car and it gave me a code of P0304. I understand what it means but what would be my best course or action?
You probably have a loose plug wire on #4 cylinder.
First check for that. If that doesn't help, make sure the injector electrical lead is secure.
Next, replace the spark plug on # 4. If that still doesn't help, then a new injector might be needed. Before springing $$ on a new injector, add a bottle of Techron to the fuel and drive it. Techron will clean up a clogged injector better than anything out there.
