Pls start with checking the fuses.
The wires between the driver's door and the body are likely to get broken. If the fuses are ok, try to remove the boot near the door hinge. What you're looking for is a thick black wire which I heard many times is the culprit in such situations.

The most common problem is in the wiring where it runs from the driver's door through the door jam. Continuous opening and closing of the door eventually causes the wires to break.

It sounds like your cable or gear for your window regulator broke, purchase a new regulator and your window will work properly again.

I can't remember if it is on the right or the left side, but there's a panel (pretty sure it's passenger side) that you pop open on the side of the dashboard. I think you can only find it with the door open. Sorry I don't have our GCh any more to check....
