I have a 2001 Bmw 740i and I just replaced the battery and now the car will turn over but won't start and the alarm randomly goes off

It thinks you are stealing it!

You have fallen foul of the anti-theft system!

Number one tip, maintain power when changing batteries with a couple of lengths of wire or jump leads.

Disconnect the battery for 2 hours. Put your key in the ignition, but not on. Reconnect the battery. The ECU will pair the chip in the key and the chip in the ignition lock. The ECU will then release power to the ignition system.

At present the ECU thinks you are trying to steal the car with a key that just happens to fit the lock. Clever stuff eh? Let me know how you get on by clicking COMMENT under my post.

It must be 2 hours to dissipate all power in the car held by electronics.

I just installed a new ignition module started it up and it ran really well....then shut it off and now I have power to everything but it won't hit a lick, what do I do???

When you say power to everything, do you have spark to the plugs ?
Did you check the fuses ?
Was the check engine light on while it was running ?

Runs good then loses power and it acts lick it's getting more fuel that spark

check your ignition system,coil,distributor cap,plug wires,COIL WIRE
ignition module in distributor,(a good scan tool would be nice) would probably help with most of the above

Reservoir is licking out somewhere had it replaced and new cap fluid all licks out and steering is screaming every two days

You have a bad hose somewhere. I would start at the power steering pump and follow each hose to find the leak. It is probably on the high pressure side, but to be sure you will have to check both the hoses. It will either be at a connection, or at the rack and pinion unit. I would recommend that you use some power steering fluid that contains stop leak, and that may resolve your issue. You will still want to address the leak because power steering fluid is combustible and could catch fire if it gets on the exhaust manifold.

How can I fix the power streel fluid licking

You will have to replace the pump or the line that is leaking. Using stop leak is a waste of time and money on power steering pumps.
