Hi All I have an Audi '97 A4 1.8 I recently serviced it and changed the rear disks and breaks, and front axle. Since then I'm noticing the car vibrates when I cross 110 kmph, and also the ABS lamp has started to glow. Could you be so kind to help me out with your knowledge. Thank You in advance.

    Hi
Thank You for your quick answer.
But before servicing, there was no issue, no vibration and no ABS lamp.

It sounds like a tire a out of balanced or a worn outer CV joint

Any use of force removing parts can cause problemsleading to a vibration
Als incorrect procedures can do this when servicing. I would inspect the balance of the tires with a portable wheel balancer if one can be found. They simply spin the wheel around very fast while the wheel is propped up off the ground

I have a 97 vzj95 prado 3.4lt v6 Recently the front diff seized and I've replaced it but now on turns while accelerating I'm hearing a clunk from the rear diff... Is this a wind up issue? Thanks

Yes it is a wind up of the axles and not the drive shafts. Your car has a limited slip diff and it is locking up.
When you are accelerating the diff locks up and your wheels are rotating at different rates while turning. This causes the axles to twist until the pressure causes the Limited Slip Diff to slip.
My guess would be that someone has changed the diff oil with non Limited Slip Diff oil.

I don't think this will work. Your car is all wheel drive and power is distributed to all 4 wheels, with most of the power going to the front. If you remove the front axles the entire system is broken and your car won't move.

Replaced rear brakes for disk breaks on 2006 chevy 1500 lights comes on abs

check to see that the sensor wires that sense axle rotation are connected. Some are near the caliphers abd read the rotor rotation and in my car with rear drum brakes it is in the axle housing next to the axle bearing. Check that the sensor is compatable for the new application

I have bad road noise after 40 mph. This started after changed tires and both front boots and axles

to possible answers
the axles are new and the cv joints mat be firm resulting in noise transmission through failing engine mounts ( unlikely but possible )
the tread pattern may be the cause of the noise especially if the tyre pressure is incorrect
Take it back to the shop and take them for a road test to see if they can find the reason
when drive axles have to replaced , it generally means that the front lower arms have to be disconnected so a wheel alignment may also be in order

I have a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. i noticed a little diff fluid coming from the right rear wheel. I changed the wheel seal and axle bearing and put it all back together and filled the rear diff with...

first swap to a front tyre to eliminate that issue

new bearing shouldn't be rumbling
to get the bearing square on and home
did you use a press to fit the bearing to the rear axle
or tube method ?

and did the seal kit have this nifty plastic seal fitter so axle didn;t rip the seal surface
