Question about 2004 Ford F150
Is the compressor cycling? If it is the refrigerant charge is most likely low. You will have to hook up a set of gauges and see what your pressure readings are with the A/C on and add the appropriate amount of R134a.

If your clutch is cycling , you probably need new gaskits on the clutch. If you don't run the air for a while, they dry up and crack. you will be wasting money, if you just keep putting refrigerant in it.
