There is a low freon pressure switch in your system ... if the freon is low ... nothing will work ... this is a safety interlock system which prevents damage to your system. I am surprised your mechanic didnt find this.

That is not to say this is your problem ... but it is what you should check next.

If your system is low ... get it charged ... look for leaks and you should be back in business.

02 kia spectra fan/blower not working, all fuses relays good but no power to either? ??

No power to heater blower fuse? this isn't separately fused to my knowing ,if there wasn't any power to this fuse other devices wouldn't work as well , as fuse under hood supplies power to many things , what ive found many many times to satisfy this complaint is that yes there is power to underdash fan , but its rusted up and cant turn , rust occurs when ac drain backs up and water has nowhere to run ,except to motor , then rust starts !!

2008 Holden Colorado wont start and no dash lights

Check your ecm fuse, or your main power relay fuses, basically just check all the fuses under the dash and under the hood, if there are a few relays under the hood, you can try and swap the ac relay with the power relay as long as they have the same numbers on them. If all the fuses are good, it is most likely a relay, or the ignition switch itself

Where is the location of fuel pamp electric fuses

If Its under the hood
  • Raise the hood of your car and look near the battery for a black, plastic box. Unsnap the lid and raise the cover. On the inside of the lid there should be a schematic of the fuse orientation, and inside this box there should be an array of circuit breakers, fuses and relays arranged according to the schematic. One of the small, black relays is likely to control the fuel pump. Near the relay there is also typically a red, 10-amp fuse labeled "FUEL," "F/P" or "FUEL PUMP." If not, check under the dashboard.
If its under the Dashboard
  • Use a flashlight to look under the dashboard. In most cases, there should be a lower cover to access the fuse panel. Remove the cover with a small screwdriver and pull the lid off of the fuse panel. On the inside of the lid there should be a label that identifies the fuse arrangement, similar to the label on the power center under the hood. Look for the same lettering that designates the fuel pump fuse. If the fuse is not there, look in the specialty fuse panels.

Where is the fuse for my ac in a 1999 chevy blazer

there are 2 locations. one is on the side of the dashboard, driver-side, the other is under the hood, inside the black plastic box, i think its marked "relay fuses". check the fuse, if its not blown, you can try switching the A/C relay, with another relay with the same part no. from another accesory. hope this helps. by the way, what is wrong with the A/C, what is it doing?

Compressor on 96 dodge caravan will not start even after charging system with freon. does computer have to be reset

check for bad fuse under hood. also check for ac relay issue. also under hood . you will find a power dis. center under the hood. (just like a fuse panel)the system does use pressure switches, but check the fuse and relay first. if you have power and ground at the compressor and it does not engage, then the ac clutch is bad. you can check that at the two wires at ac compressor w/ a test light.

There's a fuse under the hood. It's the relay/ABS fuse (20 amps). You have to pull it out to see if it's blown out. If I remeber correctly, it,s the 3rd or 4th fuse down in the 2nd column of fuses. This supplies power to the relays that control the starter, fuel system, AC, and others.
