Question about 2001 Chevrolet S-10
Been there doen this, remove the wheel, brake caliper and pad's, brake rotor, 4wheeldrive hub wheel bearing and abs asembaly ( this is all one unit, there are 3 bolts in the back side ot the spindle) upper and lower ball joints then finally the axel will come out, it will take alittle forse there is a snap ring on the diff end that takes a littel determination to get out, sound's like more work than it is, make shure u do one side at a time in case u foget how somthing goes and be carfull with the abs sensior wire and brake caliper hose! neither has to be diconected as long as u tie the componits up so thay are out of the way and won't fall any more proble fell free to ask i have owed s-10's all my life and curently have a 2001 s-10 blazer LT and a 1996 jimmy sle love them both and so does the wife! lol

Normal thing that happens as long as onone (worked) on it, is the vacume hose going to the engage sevevo under the battery box has fell of on either end or is brocken on the way there. Then the once or now leaky battery acid ate up this same servo. then the cable going to the front axel breaks sticks falls off or even someone needing one climbed under your truck while parked somewhere to get one to replace their brokeen one now you don't have one then theaxel engage arm or gearset is damaged

you have to remove the cover then spin the carrier assembly by spinning drive shaft un till you see a mall bolt that will hold the pin in that runs through the center of the carrier remove bolt remove pin push axle shaft in so that c clip can fall out with c clip out remove shaft when re installing push axle in all the way put c clip in and pull axle shaft out word and reinstall pin bolt and cover.
