You could have a bad power door lock relay switch, it's not common but like anything man-made, something can and will always go wrong. If your car's still under Factory Warranty you can have the Dealer check it out.

it sounds like you may have a door switch going bad or in need to adjustment, the car thinks the door is ajar and then cycles the locks. the hard part may be to figure out which switch is making it act up.

I have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee limited edition. The Computer is dinging and reporting that the drivers door is ajar, when it is clearly closed. The lights come on as a result of this computer issue...

Locks should be tesed /checked via hand terminal(which dealer have).
sometimes that VIC module creates problems due to badsoldering points on its circuit board. try to resolder them. but sometimes it shows what is reads from sensors around car. like tail light out or door is ajar signals.

there is a possibility that switch checks the condition of door which is actully bad and this makes auto lock system act like door is not closed and wont allow it to be left as locked position. this is looking like a endless loop.

All of a sudden radio and heads up computer stopped working ??? door locks acting funky work sometimes and then not also radio works when key is in axl power but not when jeep is on????" PLEASE...

Somebody hooked up your radio wrong, or the hot wire from ignition on switch has come loose. You'll have to pull the radio out to fix it. The heads up comp. might be on that same wire (spliced into it). To fix the door locks (an unrelated problem) you need to pull the door inside panel off and find the locks and solenoid that operate them. Often a cleaning and disconnecting and reconnecting the wires will solve that(they get gunked up over time and don't work well). Good luck.

Check under the back seat in the electrical box for a blown fuse or relay. You may just have to take this into a good shop to track it down. It sounds like you might have a blown diode in a common ground somewhere, but I cannot tell you where from where I'm sitting.

Automatic door locks do not work

for that problem you will have to take it to the dealer the body control module stores codes that will aid in diagnosing the problem. one of the more common problems, a software issue. the body computer may need to be reflashed to the latest software level to correct.
