Question about 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier
It's located on the left top front of the motor. It's threaded into the coolant tube.
If you're having trouble with your electric radiatior fan, if you disconnect the wire plug from it and if the fan is OK, it will start running after 5 seconds or so, if the fan doesn't start it's more than likley the temp. switch.
The electric fan should run all the time when the air conditioning is on.

Tips for a great answer:
A/C refrigerant pressure exceeds 1310 kPa (190 psi).
A/C is requested and vehicle speed is below 100 km/h (62 mph) with A/C pressure above 1413 kPa (205 psi).
Vehicle speed is less than 8 km/h (5 mph) for more than 750 seconds. The fan will turn off when vehicle speed is greater than 8 km/h (5 mph) for more than 20 seconds.
