The engine could be any GM motor, but a Hollander junk yard manul and the block # ( on a pad that sticks out where the cyclinder head gasket would be ) ( under the valve cover the casing numbers of the heads ) Of course on a built up piece anything goes and lots of stuff can be made to fit. on the frame you may e able to figger out the brake pads with a illistrated guild looking up vehicals you think it might be them seeing if the pads or shoes match up. the 700R4 is GM for sure but don't rule out full size pickups and blazers as the s trucks have 200 metrics R4's The V6 rules out a jeep but still can be a jeep frame axels can be out of anything as they all can be made to bolt up and have the driveshafts made.

2005 5.7 4x4 automatic. Where can I get a diagram that shows fuse and relay locations?

of what the whole car?
EATX.

first year of WK in USA.
posted over 100 times here.,

http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

see WK jeep there, the full manual. why not find it your self.?
my wild guess(context not stated)
you scanned the car. and get DTCs unstated, and the fact that the FSM book mentions EATX like 100 of times. ? for transmission? more times really.
and there are 2 transmissions, too....
not stated. either...

to answer the locations question, open chapter 8w,
its all there..
page 10 to 12 cover boxes JB or PDC.

the operators guide has fuse boxes. lost that.
and the FSM , too, to the 9th degree..

Where is the tcc ssolenoid in 2000 caravan?

the solenoid on most cars, is in side the transmission
its hydraulic, and needs to be there.
(i know one exception)
this is simple , you LOOK at tranny, and if you dont see 2 or more soleniods in plain site, they are above the oil pan on the valve body
some are ABOVE this body (PITA place)

I'm looking at a 1983 Cheyenne step side. I would like to put a 1947-53 body and bed on the frame. I don't know the true wheelbase for either. Will it work?

I can tell you that Advance Design Chevys had the following wheelbases depending on the configuration; 116, 125.25 and 137 inches, Why don't you just measure the '83?

I can assume that this is a Classic Jeep CJ-5, (cousin of the CJ-3A), there is little information on these models, but for lovers of these models, and with some patience, you can get interesting data.

Banging noise in 4 wheel drive under torque. front hub questions.

Hello scotch1812, those of us that still enjoy the square headlights have to stick together! The front axle in our YJ's are dana 30 with a high pinion! The high pinion make the ring and pinion spin in a reverse rotation from the dana 30 found in CJ and TJ Jeeps. When Chrysler designed the YJ front axle, they removed the manual hubs like those found in CJ models and installed a vacuum disconnect on the passenger side axle shaft. The passenger side axle shaft is 2 piece with a sleeve that is moved into place to connect the 2 pieces of axle shaft when you shift the transfer case into 4 wheel drive. This is done via a vacuum module mounted on the axle housing. If your module diaphram goes bad you have no 4WD! If your vacuum hose comes off of the module or breaks you have no 4WD. Now when your transfer case is in 2WD the front driveshaft does not turn. The vacuum disconnect allows this to happen. As for the hubs, they are simply hubs with sealed bearings and a universal joint to allow your front wheels to turn left and right. If you hear the banging noise in 2WD it could be a bad universal joint in one of your axle shafts.

Now if you are hearing the banging noise only when you are in 4WD there could be a number of reasons. You could have a broken axle shaft or a bad bearing in your ring and pinion. Your front driveshaft could be bent or at least not straight. I would start with the driveshaft. Just lay under the Jeep (Not running! With emergency brake set!) and spin the front driveshaft. If it spins true and doesn't have an out of round rotation we can rule that out! Also, grab it and push it and pull it to check to see if your universal joints in the drive shaft are gor and tight! They can make a grinding noise or popping noise if they are bad!

Try these and let me know what you find! We will find your problem!
