Put fuel stabalizer in the fuel tank and change the oil if it has sat for a long time, and don't park it on grass it will rot the underside or the car and the tire's
if the car ran fine when u parked it i woilden't worry about fuel pressure

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

165000 miles auto non turbo sitting 6 months plus starts fine, rough idle 1100 rpm sounds and feels like not firing on all six. does this car kill plugs easy?

It's been sitting for six months, plugs probably have corrosion or rust on them. That and your fuel is probably turned to soup. Put in new plugs and a really heavy duty fuel system cleaner. You might consider changing all filters too - especially fuel filter.

Alternator/selenoid or electrical problem?

When your car is warm, everything is at its maximum expansion. Sounds like an overheating issue. But again I am not there to inspect and diagnose it. It could be several things. Winter driving keeps your engine way cooler than summer heat

I dont remember the name for it.VATS I think it's called,it a security item inside your steering wheel the little wire breaks and the system looses it's sense to know what's going on.The car thinks you are in drive mode.

Electrical Issue???

Sometimes an issue like this is the result of sub-standard parts. Some shops buy their parts from mass-merchandisers that buy their stock from the lowest bidder, with little regard to the quality of those components. Electrical components are not all the same.
I'm not a big fan of dealerships, but in some areas, their parts are worth the extra $ they charge for them. If you are reasonably adept at repair work, get yourself a vehicle specific manual like haynes, chilton etc. and get a new sensor from a local dealer. It will cost you half of what the shop cost was, and the manual will help with other items as well. Before replacing the sensor, test it as per manual instructions (guessing when replacing expensive items is not wise).
While it is possible that an electrical problem elsewhere can cause your problem, the cps produces voltage which is sent to the computer. I'ts rare that errant voltage would reach it coming from anywhere, without causing other ongoing problems as well.
good luck
