You are going to need to get that o2 sensor replaced if it is clogged. Most likely is it just carbonized up and can CAREFULLY be cleaned off. If i were you i would just get it replaced

If its clogged then you have a fault with the piston rings or the valve guides causing the engine to burn oil ,or just a clogged air filter will cause low gas mileage and black smoke which will clog the sensor .or another possibility that i have thought of is a missing gauze filter in the engine breather allowning oil into the inlet manifold

Can I clean the o2 sensor on bank 1 of an 05 Camry with spray cleaner

I doubt it.
What clogs up an O2 sensor is usually foreign matter in the exhaust which would be packed into the sensor like lead.
It is being blown thru the sensor at over 400 degrees.

If the catalytic converter is clogged will it make car miss out not want to go(1999 chevy lumina)

could be ether of these. try unplugging the front o2 sensor see if it runs better. if so its that o2 try unplugging the rear o2 if its better its that o2. by unplugging it the computer just selects an average input of a good o2. could also be many other things but start with that and I would change the fuel filter maybe its clogged

My 1998 Ford Expedition stalls or boggs down when I accelerate. I've gotten atleast 3 different reasons. Mass air flow, O2 sensor or intake manifold leak. I don't want to spend money on all three.

DO YOU HAVE A SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT ON? IF SO YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE IT SCANNED TO READ ANY CODES. A MAF SENSOR CAN MAKE IT RUN LIKE THAT. YOU CAN TRY TO CLEAN IT WITH CARB. SPRAY.

I Had a p1131 code replaced o2 sensor before cat it still runs like **** with no check engine light what could be the problem YES I AM A Girl

vacuum leak in PVC line or clogged PVC. its a leak after the map sensor. o2 sensor is correcting for a lean condition so its adding fuel to your car when the o2 sensor detects the extra air.

What the sytoms of a clogged catalic converter?

Classic symptoms of a plugged catalytic converter. You may also have a check engine light, with these codes:

P0160 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0161 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 2)
P0162 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0163 O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0164 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0165 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0166 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 3)
P0167 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 3)

or simply:

P1484 Catalytic Converter Overheat Detected A catalyst overheat condition has been detected by the catalyst temperature sensor

With the symptoms you are describing though, 99% sure that will be it.

Many times a "clogged" catalytic converter is actually a broken one. Inside the unit, there is a honeycomb-like structure that aids the converter in superheating the exhaust fumes, which cuts down significantly on emissions. Over time, this honeycomb structure can get brittle and crack or chunk off inside the unit, which will impede the flow of exhaust. For this reason, many times a clogged or broken catalytic converter will rattle or make vibrating noises when the engine is given gas.

Just put new cats on 2002 5.9L dodge durango and

P0155 - 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

if you aren't getting the corresponding bank 1 sensor 1 code, P0135, you may have gotten the wrong O2 sensor, or perhaps it is defective? There is the chance that if you put some anti-seize on the O2 sensor threads or on the exhaust threads that you may have gotten something on the sensor itself clogging it up....

I believe sensor 1 is pre catalytic converter, but this code refers to the internal heater in the O2 sensor... so if all else fails, you may just have to buy or exchange for another and see if it helps your problem

Can I get a diagram of replacing the downstream o2 sensor

Hello adam...i suspect you are getting the P0140 O2 sensor circuit no activity (Bank 1 Sensor 2) fault code on your Kia?
The "downstream" O2 sensor will be BEHIND the catalyst converter and is tuned into the PCM map. Simply remove and replace. Typically this code is set due to a clogged or failed sensor, a poor connection, or an open circuit.
The P0420 code is typically a clogged or defective cat.
Good luck..i hope this helps..please rate me a fixya.

O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2

That is the O2 sensor right behind the cat. converter. When the cat is clogged it can shoot contaminates in the O2 sensor so sometime just cleaning the sensor will make it work again, if not it will need to be replaced. Mark - ABKS
