This screen goes in your pick up tube on your oil filter housing. This stops debris from being brought into the motor that the oil filter misses. But with today's high tech filters i think you have nothing to worry about.

Slightly overfilling the transmission will not damage it. Driving it with almost no fluid in it will. Chances are, the bands in the tranny are burnt, and debris has also clogged the filter screen. It is probably worth trying to have the transmission flushed (traditional flush, NOT reverse power flushed) and the filter screen replaced. This may enable you to get a few more miles out of it. Also, there is a product called Trans-X that might help.

It is located inside the transmission. You have to take the Transmission Fluid Pan off, located on the bottom of the Transmission.

According to manual, turn ignition to the on position, within 5 seconds fully depress gas pedal 2 times.  Then turn ignition off. If it does not reset, repeat process.
Section 5 of the manual.  However, I cannot get mine to reset.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

they should have suggested changing tranny screen and filter if tranny isnt maintained every 20,000to 30,000 you end up with gray like particles from normal wear wich get caught in the screen and valve body wich leads to erractic shifting valve body problems eventually tranny replacement number 1 rule oil changes on motor and screen and filter on tranny prevents premature wear longer life to two major key factors
