Question about 2004 Dodge Intrepid
Depends on what problems you're having. I have a 2004 Intrepid, and it has the 2.7l engine, unfortunately the engine with the most technical service bulletins on it regarding the tranny. I happened to have the hard shift down to 3rd gear. I took it to an actual transmission shop which involved having the valve body done. Cost me $630. The really bad part, the tranny showed more metal shavings considing the mileage is only 85,000. I was told this was only a temporary fix, could get 5,000 miles, maybe 30,000 or way less. Needs to be rebuilt, at a nice price tag of $2100. I had trouble getting the $600 much less $2000. So I'm dreading the day it goes out completely and crossing my fingers.

If you have to ask, you cant fix it. A transmission shop will have to fix it. and it wont be cheap. $1500, maybe more.
