I have a 93 Toyota Celica GT and 5th gear just started to pop out of gear sometime it will go back in gear sometimes it just grins and wont go in gear Where should I start looking to fix this problem?

Unfortunately you will be looking in the transmission. Either the shifter base button is worn but that usually affects all gears or the 5th gear shift fork is bad or the syncro has failed

2001 celica gt whats the recomended Oct

For a standard daily driver 87 octane, I would not use gasoline enriched with ethanol because it degrades the fuel badly. If you put your foot into it and its pinging a bit I'd run 89 regularly and 1 out of 4 fill ups use 93 octane.

I'm going to guess TIMING BELT. Fairly common with this engine. Thankfully, they are a "NON-interference" motor so it didn't do any damage when the belt snapped. Just need to replace it. Should cost around $300-$400 depending on where you are. Good luck!
