Question about 2001 Dodge Dakota
I replaced some cracked hoses under the hood. Then I found 2 U-shaped hoses under the frame, driver side. These had big cracks. Replaced these ($25) and code is gone. Check the hoses before you replace the gas cap. (Gas Caps rarely fail.)

Emission control system leak (large). any leak in pressure in the system will set the code off, even a bad gas cap,or one left loose,so if you have a leak in the system that could be the cause of the code, good luck with it. p0455
