get as chiltons manual and do a "pin" test at the computer. You aren't getting power somewhere it needs to be.

A common problem with this type of condition is the crank shaft position sensor. A defective sensor will not allow the engine to run.

Hard to start jeep 1994 grand cherokee

If the jeep just cranks but doesn't start right away, you might have what is known as the 'delayed start check engine light problem'. Make sure the check engine light comes on, in the dash, before cranking. If the check engine light does not come on right away, then you do have the delayed start problem and the jeep ecu needs to be repaired.

Starting

Check on this site for the delayed start check no engine light problem. It could be that or maybe just the crank sensor, as those Jeeps are known for crank sensors going bad.

Will not start

If the check engine light does NOT come on when cranking at the times when it won't start, then your ECU is in need of repair. The engine will only start after the check engine light comes on and the ecu is what controls that. It's likely going bad, causing the delayed start problem typical of early 90's jeeps. Repair or replacement services for your jeep ECU are available on ebay.

1994 jeep grand cherokee 5.2 turn over but wont start

If the check engine light does not light up, on the dash, before trying to start the jeep then the computer ecu may be in need of repair. If the check light does come on before cranking, then it might be on of a number of sensors that has gone bad.

Cranks over but will not start

Look at your dash to see if the check engine light is lighting up when you turn the ignition on, before cranking. If it's not lighting up, your ecu might need to be repaired. Also, try leaving the ignition on for a while, about 30 minutes, to see if your check engine light does finally come on. The jeep should start if that light comes on. Could also be your crank sensor is bad.

My jeep grand cherokee engine wont start only cranking

If you have no check engine light on the dash, before cranking, then your ecu is bad and needs to be repaired or replaced. If the check engine light is on and the jeep still won't start, might be your crank sensor is bad. Have you had the trouble codes read from the ecu? It would tell exactly what's bad.
