Question about 2006 Dodge Ram 1500

The front suspension on Dodge Ram 1500

The front suspension of my Dodge Ram 1500 is deteriorating badly. It's got 75k miles, with new Rancho shocks at 50k, but over bumps, it'll start vibrating and skip in bumpy turns. Under braking, I get significant vibration. I'm wondering if there's something loose in the suspension linkages. Any ideas what to look for? Is this common on this truck? It's the Big Horn edition with the bigger wheels, full time auto 4wd.

If your not hauling a load reduce you tire air pressure, will give a little more smoother ride, also under braking have your front brake rotor checked they might be wrap.

Just due to the miles, may be a good idea to replace the shocks.
You may also want to look for grease fittings on the suspension and steering (ball joints, tie rods, U joints, etc.) and grease them all. A squeak is very hard to diagnose over the web. What you may try is have a friend bounce on the bumpers while you listen for the squeak. That may help you narrow its location, front right, front left, rear right, rear left. Could be a bushing in a control arm or leaf spring or a metal to metal squeek.

I do not see anything about the tires in your description of the problem. Might look into those things because they are what cause "speed related" issues when you drive.

If it happens in the rear it could be a bad shock and if it comes from the front it could be a bad shock or ball joint.

Dose a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 BIgHorn Addition have struts or shocks in the front?

Its a Coil over Shock, so you have to buy shocks with the spring seat on them.

2007 DODGE RAM 1500 CASTER ON RIGHT SIDE WONT COME INTO SPEC GETTING SOME SHIMMY?? truck has 95,000 miles was last aligned with about 40,000 miles after a tire blowout and a bent rim alignment was...

The actual caster spec is not very significant - the handling is what counts. The caster will not cause a shimmy. Shimmy could be caused by tire problems, worn or damaged steering or suspension parts, bad shock absorbers or a bent wheel. As long as the vehicle does not pull and the handling is satisfactory, the caster is OK, If the tires are not wearing and the vehicle hamdles OK - don't worry about "specs." I have done a LOT of alignments where the readings did not match the specs, but the result was satisfactory.
