Question about 1995 Chevrolet C1500

Where are the freeze plugs on a 1995 Chevrolet Cheyenne with a V6 engine? How many are there? The one behind the starter is corroded, so I'm looking for the others. I found the one by the oil filter, but I don't even know how many I'm looking for or where they are.

On your v-6 there going to be two on each side of the engine block, one by the starter on one side and one by the oil filter on the other side, the other two will be in back of the motor mount brackets that bolts to the block, you will have to remove the bracket to get to them, there is also some on the front of the engine, but those don't leak often, there is also one on the rear of the block between the engine and the transmission. Hope this was very helpful.

Where are the freeze plugs located on my 1993 chrysler lebaron v6

Hi Delaina, I'm glad to help! Freeze plugs are located in the engine block in various places. Along both sides of the block, some behind the starter, some behind the motor mounts. There are also freeze plugs in the front of the engine block and some engine also have them in the cylinder heads. There are also freeze plugs at the rear of the engine block behind the transmission. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Delaina!

Water leaks from under and behind motor, when car gets hot it will drain the water really fast, it looks like its behind the engine where I can't see it.

I'd guess you have a failed freeze plug (probably corroded). This looks like a large metal bottle cap (about 1 1/4" diameter, more or less) tapped "inside out" into the engine block. There are several on each side and a couple in the back just in front of the flywheel. It drains faster when the engine is hot because then the thermostat opens and lets the radiator coolant flow through.

If it is a corroded freeze plug, check the others for signs of corrosion. After repair, make sure you put in the recommended amount of anti-freeze and change it at recommended intervals to prevent corrosion in the future.

96 chevy cheyenne V6 4.3 liter how do i put back the distributor back in

remove the number one spark plug, get some one to hold there finger over plug hole till it blows your finger off the plug hole, bumping the starter slowly till it blows off, stop there to see if number one piston is all the way up top dead center, drop in distrubutor with rotor pointing at number one on the cap , after its in ,seated, look to insure the rotor is pinting to number one on distributor cap, that should crank there till you can get a timing lihgght on it, hope this helps you ,thanks robert b.

Leaking antifreeze fluid from under the engine.

might be a freeze plug leaking, or heater hose. there are three freeze plugs on each side of engine and two in back of engine. most likely if any of them are leaking, it will be the one behind the starter on the far right rear of engine block. they have also been known to leak around the front and rear of intake, where intake, head, and block meet.

Check out your freeze plugs. They are thin metal cups that press fit into the side of the block. Use a mirror and a light to inspect while the engine is running.

Can't find all spark plugs

Well seeing as u don't specify the year or engine u have in ur monte carlo, it's kinda har to tell u where they are.If it's a V6, the 3 rear sparkplugs are behind the engine under the manifold. Most times the rear engine mount must be removed and the engine preid to reach the sparkplugs from underneath.

Good luck.
