Question about Ford Crown Victoria

1 Answer

Fixya has no Mercury link so I'm trying Ford. I have a 2002 Merc Grnd Marq (same same Crn Vic) with AC problems. 1st, I replaced the fan motor control and that fixed that problem. Next I took the GM to a mechanic to have the fuel pump replaced. When I got the GM back the AC does not go on and the fan goes on high with nothing but heat and I cannot stop the heat without shutting the whole climate control off. Any help?

Hi! The a/c climate control switch may have been tripped during the procedure thats why it acts abnormally. You will need to have the climate control switch replaced to resolve the problem. Hope this helps and have a good one!

2002 MERCURY GRAN MARQUIS NO LOW AC BLOWER

More often than not, the Blower Motor Resistor would be at fault. It controls the speed of the Blower Motor by varying its speed revolutions. The Blower Motor Resistor is located under the hood under the heater hoses. You can purchase one from E-bay, Amazon, or check your local Auto Parts store(try to get the best price). To get an idea of where the Blower Motor Resistor is situated and what it would take to replace it, go to www.youtube.com. 95 merc grnd marq. engine suddenly stopped running. turns over but no spark. connected 2 scanners to data port but port reads error. what's my next move?

I would check the computer fuse and relay. I would also have the control module tested, usually Auto Zone can test them. I would check and make sure you are getting gas at test port on the fuel rail.

I own a 2002 crown vic my radio works but the clock on it stopped working also the heater / ac fan will not come on no matter what i try the motor wont speed up i have checked all fuses but have not dug...

if the fan runs on only one speed, its the blower motor relay.

the clock shouldn't be on the same circuit as the fan, I dunno on that one, but there is a relay for the fan.

Yes it is your blower motor that is going bad, eventually if not fixed then it will stop blowing all together.
