What color is the hot wire on heater fan control

Assuming you have manual heater controls...

The hot wire is pink with white. this is power from the blower relay. this is a ground side controlled system meaning that the speed switch controls the path to ground for the blower motor.

If the switch is bad or you see power on both wires at the blower motor with the connector plugged in than there is a ground issue.

if you ground the orange with black wire and the blower still does not work than the blower is bad.

Heater fan works on low speed only

There is a reostat that controls your fan speeds it is a couple of coiled wires it should be found under dash passenger side in heater box. it will be held in to heater box by two self tapping screws. they look like nuts with one quater or five sixteenth heads. their will be an electrical connector that pulls off of it. Remove connector remove screws .find new part at dealer, parts store,or junk yard replace unit screws and electrical connector you will have all speedsagain if new part is good. If you found this helpful please leave me a good review.

How do I remove 1996 honda accord heater fan switch? I'm not sure if I need a new switch. Heater fan works only on high speed "4"

if the fan/motor only works on max No 4 setting ? then may i suggest you have a resistor fault or commonly known as a reostat in uk this is the component that provides the relevent reduced speeds on selection but when it fails only max speed works so you should find this unit attached on heater fan exterior if you follow wires from actual motor it will connect to the resistor unit ? then onward to switch control it is not to difficult diy and if you have access to manual/ it will give location/access for renewing? hope this helps/inspires you to diy ?

No heat, not blowing, thinking it might be a fuse but unfortunately I bought the car second hand and don't have the owners manual so I can locate which fuse

check the reostat (resistor that controls fan speed located near heater motor)
also check the wiring to the motor and reostat as the conectors tend to melt

I have got a peugeot 406 1.9 gldt on an n plate

check the wiring to the heater motor and the reostat, they are known for the connectors melting. also the reostat may be blown (the reostat is a number of resistors that control the fan speed)

Hyundai coupe r/h drive heater

hi from uk your heater fan problem is most likely to be what is known as the resistor pack sometimes called the reostat and is connected to fan motor case it has the wires for fan connected this unit operates rather like an elec hob controlling amount of heat if this simplifies it for you? speeds 1 2 3and 4 gives the speed selected on fan control knob not too difficult to find and diy a replacement? and not too expensive ? these units do burn out occasionally on most cars as they age hope this helps/inspires ?
