Question about 2001 Dodge Intrepid
Running in high rpms
I AM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM W/MY 2001 DODGE INTREPID. WAS TOLD BY A MECHANIC THAT THE TRANSMISSION MODULE NEEDED REPLACED FOR $700. I FOUND A PLACE IN FLORIDA THAT WOULD REBUILD & SHIP FOR $275. I DID THAT AND IT DIDN'T FIX MY CAR - I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. SOMEONE ELSE TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE SOLENOID PACKAGE. I HAVE ALSO POSTED THIS PROBLEM A WEEK AGO AND HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING YET. SOUNDS LIKE WE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. I CAN DRIVE AROUND TOWN W/NO PROBLEM, I JUST NOTICE WHEN I GO OVER 30 MPH, MY RPM'S ARE 3 AND SO I DON'T TAKE THE CAR OUT OF TOWN AT ALL. IF I GET AN ANSWER, I WILL PASS IT ON. I REALLY HATE TO SPEND ANYMORE $ ON THIS CAR - I LIKE IT BUT I HAVE A LOT OF MILES ON MINE.
