Question about 2006 BMW 5 Series
I just purchased a used BMW 530XI sportswagon. How do I reset the passkey that the prior owner must have set?
We just bought an '06 525i and we used 0000 on both the phone and in the car and it worked.

The number was on a white card stuck in with the manual binder. Or if you don't have it, its located in the trunk, behind the left nav access panel on a silver "TCU" module about the size of 2 vhs tapes stacked together. if you look at the eject button on the nav player its located just to the right and is installed on about a 45 degree angle.
there is a white lable with the "PK" on it. i used a small telescoping mirror but you can also slightly pull back the trunk liner above the unit and it will be easily located. If any of this options works go to Bmw dealer for service and we found it in car computer.
