Question about 2004 Chrysler Sebring
I have 2 ten amp fuses that short out under certain conditions. Also, I think I have narrowed it down to certain operations that will lead to two fuses either one or both ''popping''. If it's really hot (85+)and been sitting in the sun, at work, it will put the car in lump mode when i turn it on and my gauges don't work.If I plug in my ipod player into the cigarette lighter it shorts the fuses. If I try to put the top down, it shorts out. There have been times where I have just been driving and it just shorts out, fortunately just on local roads.
Number 5 fuse (10amp) keeps blowing. Radio, interior lites, mirrors and trunk lite in 04 sebring

Your ipod may be shorting the live connector to ground & thus blowing the fuse. Check out the cigarette lighter & the ipod adaptor for any parts shorting to ground. These items may be related perhaps a simple bump in the road is causing the shorting effect. Check this out & make sure there are no bare power wires. Lighters are known to cause similiar problems. Good luck in your search!
