Did it go to the floor by itself? Or were you braking? If it has a leak in the brake line, you will see wet spot on the inside of a wheel or a break in the line, you will see a puddle on the floor unless all the fluid already leaked out. If the pedal went down by itself, means you lost the vacuum on the power brake booster, check that out, Boosters do go bad, but rare. If your fluid reservoirs is empty and you don't see where it is leaking, fill it back up and have somebody step on the brake while you watch under the car to see where it is coming from. Hope this helps.

Could be a defective master cylinder or a brake fluid leak some where, have it check out as soon as possible.

It could be that your brake fluid reservoir is empty. You might also have a crack in the line.

If you haven't refilled the resovoir for the brake fluid and it's running out again you have a leak in hte brake line somewhere. Even if you replaced the brake lines you might still have a leak somewhere. It just takes time to find it

Brake pedal just started needing to be pumped to engage and smoke coming from behind the back drivers side tire

I have the same truck! You could have a leaking wheel cylinder. Look at the brake drum on the driver rear and see if its wet. also check your brake fluid level. If you are leaking you will be low.
Wheel cyl's are not super hard to do, just make sure you do everything and both sides. also do one side at a time so you can use the other side for reference when putting it all back together.

If you have one not grabbing the the rubber hose to the caliper is clogged up. they deteriorate from the inside. I sugest that you replace both hoses on the front.

the only thing left unless you have a leak is the proportioning valve A soft pedal can also be caused by badly adjusted rear brakes but you shouldn't experience a pedal fade right to the floor with bad adjustment.

Do you still have the problem ? If so, try disabling the ABS completely (electrically) by disconnecting the 50 amp breaker and remove the ABS controller. You should have brake power restored and be careful as the brakes will lock now if you apply too much foot pedal pressure. I hope this helps.
