Question about Chevrolet Cavalier
Hello. Begin by testing your battery by seeing if the headlights come on. If they do, check all of the connections from the battery to ground and battery to the charging system. You most likely have a bad battery or a bad charging system or a bad connection. Physically move the wires near each connection to make sure everything is very tight. Also check to see if there is a corroded connection which could be impeding things. Joe

Do u have fuel pressure? sounds like the electric fuel pump has failed, this pump is located inside the fuel tank, the fuel tank must be pulled to replace it, an easy way to see if the pump is working is to buy a can of spray starting fluid from any auto parts store like Kragen, Napa and Autozone, also hardware stores carry starting fluid spray cans, remove the air intake hose tot he engine and while the engine is being cranked over spray the starting fluid in, if the engine starts u have a defective electric fuel pump.
